The little horns on them send signals to others nearby and to leer in critters

the bright blue energy you see is what keeps him alive including the fish inside (some dont have fish inside some do, depends on depth, but some don't contain live critters due to system malfunction causing them to break down and hurt the critters)

The brighter the energy the deeper in the ocean they live and shows how sturdy they are

some only appear at night to collect nocturnal critters (design for those being debated) and there is a type deeper then the one made below
